Viberg ‘city’ AW21
A day around East London in the’City’ collection with Lucas Smith. Collaborating with the incredible team at VIBERG as an ongoing partnership to redefine their seasonal collections across four distinct categories. This project led us to work with some seriously cool talents and unqiue locations, capturing a fresh, youthful and casual aesthetic.
“Maybe you’ve noticed, but clothes are getting comfier. Where there was once an emphasis on having the crunchiest, heaviest, or most badass jeans and boots – there is now an understanding that comfort is important.
Even Viberg is getting into this turn towards comfort. The bootmaker is known for making some of the toughest leather footwear in the biz, so it’s interesting to see them pivot towards a market that’s less consumed with fades and patina and more interested in getting from Point A to Point B without developing blisters. Boots aren’t entirely gone, of course, but in the AW21 lookbook, we’re seeing an unprecedented focus on sneakers. A chunky Hoka–style runner and a slip-on Vans style as well. Made from premium leathers, these shoes look dynamic and exciting. And… comfy!”
